Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys are playing the Dualplover End of Financial Year Party at Home Nightclub June 30. The Dualplover bossmen Lucas and Swerve said we can choose how much we can charge you for tickets so we’ve taken this opportunity to spearheaded a new music revolution, like when Radiohead let you choose how much you paid for their record but A LOT more interesting. Be a part of the most important thing to happen to music since the invention of Garage Band!

Firstly here’s the full line-up and all the details about the party:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=110342565667848
(make sure to get a ticket cause it’s $25 on the door)

We’re offering you many flexible payment options where you can trade your goods, service, skills, digital or physical dollars! You can pay with good old fashion ca$h at Repressed Records (356 King Street, Newtown). We’re giving you the option of paying half to the Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys and half to your other favourite band. So if you wanted to you could give $5 to BWBBs and $5 to Whores. As DRUNK ELK are coming all the way from Tasmania Repressed Records will also be selling tickets on their behalf. $10 straight in their pocket. EVEN BETTER, if you buy Drunk Elk’s CD “ Pieces Of People We Have Known” or any Dualplover or R.I.P Society label release tickets for the End Of Financial Year Party are only $5!

If you hate going outside during record store opening ours you can paypal $10 to r.i.p.societyrecords@gmail.com . Make sure to specify if you want you moolah to go to Drunk Elk (great idea, these guys make cool music and should be encouraged) or half the $10 to go to another band.

OK HERE COMES THE TRULY REVOLUTIONARY PART……
As dual plover have let us choose how much we want to charge for tickets we (Joe, Ben and Nic) have compiled as list of things we’ll exchange for entry into the HAPPY NEW FINANCIAL YEAR PARTY. DEAD FARMERS "GO HOME" LP OUT NEXT WEEK.

RIP009: Dead Farmers - Go Home LP
Long awaited full length album from Sydney’s Dead Farmers. You might remember hearing about their debut 7” from a few years back, the very first release on Aarght Records (Eddy Current, UV Race, Super Wild Horses etc). I saw their second show three and a half years ago and haven't missed many since. At the time it seemed everything around me was no-wavey or post-something and these three young men playing powerful, honest-to-god rock music felt like the most ambitious, genuine thing around. Since they’ve become a more forceful unit having playing over 100 shows, honed their ability to write riffs that’ll stick to your skull and have taken the long road in recording, learning the ins and outs of an old 8-track ½” tape machine. Recorded, mixed and mastered by the themselves in guitarists David Akermans’ house, Go Home treads the line between your savage proto-punk, garage and heavy psychedelic rock that instantly feels familiar but jeez, I can‘t think of a band in recent times (or of yesteryear) that’d be an obvious comparison. Anyway these dudes feel like my local Stooges/Creedence/Minutemen.
Out April 27 through R.I.P Society. VINYL (and mp3 voucher) ONLY!

Tracklisting:
1. Suns of Thunder*
2. Down Low
3. Bad Time*
4. Iron Giant
5. Slow Time
6. Goin’ Home
7. Boom
8. Run
9. Lucky Stars
10. Can’t Come
11. Spit / Shine*
* = recommend songs for radio play.

FAREWELL CHABBS.

Important message from Dead Farmers:
After 3 and a bit years of keeping time for Dead Farmers, we unfortunately have to announce the departure of our beloved Chabbs. Sad day, but the man could no longer divide time between the trash cans and his studies. So as he leaves we wish him all the best in the future - tute on son, tute on! Not all bad news though, as a replacement has already been lined up and is ready to go. Kowalski, member of Peewee and main man from Marickville's finest party house Louie's, is our new dude in the chair. Y'can hear the lineup first on March 12th supporting our brothers Deaf Wish, alongside Straight Arrows at the Supper Club. Get in early to catch the new Farmers in action!

Dead Farmers debut LP "Go Home" is due out mid-April but knowing my luck that could anywhere between two weeks from now and 2015. See them play for the first time in months here.

P.S.
The Royal Headache 7" has been delayed as the pressing plant forgot to mail them.... So basically they've been sitting on a warehouse floor for 3 weeks. I'll be frantically trying to email all of those who have pre-ordered this record, stores etc over the next few days. Sorry bout that y'all. Americans will be able to get this record from Goner in a week or so I reckon!

BED WETTIN' BAD BOYS MELBOURNE 7" LAUNCH

BED WETTIN' BAD BOYS (Sydney)
SOUTHERN COMFORT (Sydney)
WOOLLEN KITS (Melbourne)
BITCH PREFECT (Adelaide)

FEB 20. 8PM.THE EMPRESS HOTEL.
714 NICHOLSON ST, FITZROY NORTH.
COME EARLY AS IT'S GOING TO SELL OUT REALLY QUICK.

BED WETTIN' BAD BOYS
Sydney’s #1 party band are back in Melbourne launching their four track debut 7” on R.I.P Society Records. Think indie rock before indie rock meant you were a sweater wearing nerd (aka Replacements, Dinosaur Jr, Meat Puppets) with undertones of glam (more Slade than Bowie), power pop and hard rock. Held together by wild guitar, overdriven bass lines and a lewd, punk attitude (definitely not college rock). You might recognise Joe as the bass player from Royal Headache, Nic as the guy that put the thing in his mouth in Circle Pit and Ben as an elite sporting hero.
http://www.myspace.com/bedwettinbadboys

SOUTHERN COMFORT
New band from Angela Bermuda (Circle Pit / Straight Arrows) and Harriet Hudson (Downtown / Circle Pit) playing timeless songs based around their hypnotic reverb soaked guitar sound and duel angelic vocals. A real Velvet Underground drone rock vibe with a classic rock/country flavour. First Melbourne tour!

P.S. Both gals play a mean lead guitar (like Neil Young mean) and are really good looking young blonde women.

WOOLLEN KITS
Local house band at the Empress for the weekend! These guys seem to get compared to is Beat Happening, which is fair and all but somewhat limiting. Woollen Kits surpass the “twee” thing because a) actually have good songs and b) they’ve got a stompin’ garage energy with some killer surf guitar lines. Would most likely appeal to fans of the Modern Lovers (i.e. pretty much everyone).
http://www.myspace.com/woollenkits

BITCH PREFECT
Three funs guys from Adelaide, one of which being the truly radical miracle that is Scott Ohara (also of Lindsey Low Hand). From the videos and all reports Pat and Liam are also totally bodacious dudes with moves worthy of your attention. Great off-beat, humbling guitar pop for fans of The Clean, Pavement, Eat Skull, Kitchen’s Floor.

Master of Ceremonies MARCUS RECHSTEINER of The UV Race will be hosting the event and helping everyone have a great time. With Marcus on board there is no doubt in my mind this will be a truly excellent rock show, one from the history books!

P.S. There’ll be a bunch of R.I.P Society Records releases on sale on the night. Alongside the new Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys 7” we’ll have the new Kitchen’s Floor - Regrets 7” for sale, a repress of Sydney garage-punks Straight Arrows debut 7” and the debut 7” from Royal Headache. BRING HEAPS OF MONEY.

COMING EARLY 2010

CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO SEE IF PROPERLY.

COMING SOON
RIP003: Lloyd Honeybrook - Saxual Abstinence Cassette
Heavy, tonal feedback experiments in not playing the saxophone. The standard edition is a c60 then there's the die-hard 2xc60 edition. Lloyd will take a heap on these on his tour of Japan with Robbie Avanenaim in a couple of months. People in Melbourne should contact him direct for copies, hopefully I'll have soon (one-for-one dubbing sucks).

RIP006: Royal Headache 7"
Sorry this one's taking so long but it's worth the wait. Four tracks a heap of you are probably already familiar with: Splash, Surprise, Eloise & Girls. Embraced by young punk sceptical of all things garage as well as those annoying old dudes that spend all their money of rare Easybeats records. Royal Headache's music will warm the heart of even the crustiest old scrooge.

RIP007: Kitchen's Floor - Regrets 7"
Three new tracks: Orbit, Regrets & Still Night. Here's a video for Regrets and here's a video for Orbit. The third track Still Night is a real winner too, one of the most down of their downer hits. This EP won't disappoints those into their album "Loneliness Is A Dirty Mattress" from last year. A bit of a different sound, more raw and tattered which suits the hopeless atmosphere of these songs.

RIP008: Bed Wettin' Bad Boys - Worst Band In Sydney / Best Band In Sydney 7"
Think indie rock before indie rock meant you were a sweater wearing nerd (aka Replacements, Meat Puppets) with a heavy dose of suburban punk, overdriven guitars and a rowdy Australia quality about it. Not the most hip or liked band around probably because they off get too drunk and talk too much shit in between songs. Anyway this 7" delivers and shows that they can actually write good tunes.

RIP009: Dead Farmers - Go Home LP
Long awaited debut LP after being the first release on Aarght Records (Eddy Current, UV Race, Super Wild Horses etc) a couple of years ago. I saw their first or second show three and a half years ago and haven't missed many since. At the time it seemed everything around me was no-wavey or post-something and these three young men playing powerful, honest-to-god rock music felt like the most ambitious, genuine thing around. Somewhere between your garage punk and heavy pyschedelic rock (Groundhogs, Blue Cheer, Mainliner etc). These dudes feel like my local Stooges/Creedence/Minutemen.

RIP010: Straight Arrows - Can't Count 7" Repress
A split release with Juvenile Records aka Juvenile Society Records. A repress of 200 copies, I'll make up some covers for RIP's 100 copies and have them ready in about a fortnight. If you want one now more info here. Listen to the Straight Arrows here. Definitely a highlights of Australian punk/garage over the last few years.

RIP011: Languid Mosque Zine
A Royal Headache / Bed Wettin' Bad Boy tour diary. Pretty much writing about the tour and some topics that came up in the car/at the shows etc. Although nobody submitted any stories about punk rock under Premier Joh Beljelke-Petersen's I'll still look into it. Probably some crude drawings/collages and contributions from other band members.
NOTE: I'll be offering some type of package deal for the Royal Headache, Kitchen's Floor & Bed Wettin' Bad Boys 7" that'll include Languid Mosque Zine. Maybe some special covers etc. More details once I get the text pressings back!
Shops/distros or anyone who waits more information (radio, media etc) get in touch at r.i.p.societyrecords@gmail.com .
